Overview
Ranking high on Google isn’t just about stuffing keywords and crossing fingers. It’s about understanding what people are looking for and ensuring your content is the answer.
That’s exactly what we did — and in just 30 days, we got a product page to the Top 6 for a 40.5K monthly search volume keyword. Here’s how we made it happen.
Step 1: Finding the Gaps
We started by analyzing the top-ranking pages for our target keyword.
- What were they missing?
- What questions weren’t they answering?
- How could we do it better?
We spotted content gaps that our page could fill. Then, we structured the content to hit one primary keyword and 4-5 secondary keywords without overloading the page.
Instead of overstuffing, we kept it natural:
- Primary keyword density: 1.5%
- Secondary keyword density: 1%
Why? Because forced keywords are obvious — and they don’t work.
Step 2: Content That Connects
Forget keyword stuffing. We focused on creating content that actually answers what people are asking.
- FAQs: We hit social media to see what questions people were asking about the product. We used those questions to build a powerful FAQ section.
- Internal Linking: We connected related blogs, collection pages, and the product page to give Google a clear content hierarchy and boost relevance.
- Contextual Content: Instead of generic content, we wrote with user intent in mind — answering the real questions potential customers were asking.

Step 3: Quality Over Quantity in Link Building
We didn’t chase hundreds of backlinks. Instead, we focused on:
- High-Quality Links: A few solid backlinks from relevant, authoritative sites.
- Strategic Internal Links: We linked the product page from relevant collection and product pages to pass link equity and boost visibility.
- Optimized Alt Text: Every image was given alt text that aligned with our keyword strategy, reinforcing the content without spamming.
Results: What We Achieved
- Top 6 Ranking on Google for a keyword with 40.5K searches/month.
- Increased Organic Traffic & Revenue from more targeted, qualified leads.
- Higher Engagement: More time on page, lower bounce rate — all because the content actually answered what people wanted to know.
The Real Takeaway
It’s not about throwing keywords around and hoping for the best. It’s about relevancy and user intent.
If you know what people are searching for and you make your content the answer, you’re already ahead of the game.
